Myanmar military junta reported myint died in the hospital after he took a leave for treatment one year ago.
“President U Myint Swe died at 8:28 a.m. today,” said the statement of Junta Myanmar, as quoted

(CNA).
“With this it is announced that the cemetery of the president while U Myint Swe will be held as a burial state,” continued Junta.
Military junta media on Wednesday (6/8) had reported that myint’s condition worsened lately because he experienced weight loss, loss of appetite, fever, and experienced a decrease in cognitive function.Myint has been hospitalized because of this condition.
Myint became a temporary president of Myanmar after President Win Myint was arrested in a military coup in 2021.The coup also overthrowed De Facto’s leader Aung San Suu Kyi.Both have been detained by the military since then.
Myanmar was hit by a severe civil war after a military coup.According to the United Nations (UN), more than 1,800 people died since the coup.
