“In connection with the speech at the meeting above, there is a rule of procedure [rules of procedure] that each country has a chance of 5 minutes,” Yoyok said on Tuesday.
He then said, “If the speech is more than 5 minutes then the mic will be turned off. So the sound that is not heard in the video/streaming due to a speech that is more than the specified time.”
Furthermore, Yoyok stated that although the microphone was turned off, Prabowo’s speech was still clearly heard by the delegates at the General Assembly Hall.
The moment of the dead microphone occurred when Prabowo still seemed to express his opinion at the forum.
Prabowo delivered a speech with a total duration of about six minutes 10 seconds.But about the last one minute when he confirmed the insistence of the Republic of Indonesia about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, Prabowo’s microphone had died.
“We must recognize Palestine now. We must stop the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, and ending the war must be our top priority. We must overcome hatred, fear. We must overcome suspicion,” Prabowo said.
“We must achieve the peace needed by humanity. We are ready to take part in the journey to this peace. We are willing to provide peacekeeping forces,” he added.
After that, the microphone died while Prabowo was still delivering a presentation for a few moments.It appears that the protocol officers who also approached the pulpit, at the end of Prabowo’s speech.
The microphone was heard again when Prabowo was about to end his speech.
“Thank you very much. Peace, peace now, peace immediately. We need peace. Thank you very much,” he said.

The Summit was initiated by France and Saudi Arabia, each represented by French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
