, Al Nounou said that his party felt optimistic about the series of ceasefire negotiations that began again in Egypt after a long time stagnate.
The conversation in Egypt took place after Hamas and Israel agreed on a ceasefire proposal for the proposal of US President Donald Trump which contained 20 main points.
Hamas in his statement confirmed agreeing to “the release of all prisoners of occupation, both those who were still alive and the bodies who had died,” and were ready to negotiate further with international mediators.
The group also appreciated “Arabic, Islam and International efforts, as well as the efforts of President Trump.”
The peace proposal offered by Donald Trump consists of 20 points and was launched with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House on September 29.
The plan includes immediately the ceasefire, the release of all hostages, the Hamas weapons disarmament, a guarantee that Gazans are not expelled from their territory, as well as the formation of a “peace panel” consisting of international figures, including Sir Tony Blair.
