(PBB) which is judged soaring drastically up to 250 percent.
He asserted that the increase of that size only applies to a small number of tax objects, and the Regency Government (Pemkab) is ready to review if the community feels burdened.
“If from the political and social side there are demands for the community, we will review. We open communication, we are ready to coordinate and adjust if there is something that needs to be reduced,” Sudewo said in an interview with

, Thursday (7/8).
Sudewo explained that the United Nations increase was based on adjusting the long -renewed Tax Object Selling Value (NJOP).
He said, NJOP had been adjusted for 14 years in Pati Regency, even though the update should be carried out at least every three years in accordance with statutory provisions.
“So, this is an NJOP adjustment, not merely an increase in the United Nations. There is a classification: there are up 0-10 percent, 10-20 percent, and 20-30 percent. The UN increase is a result of the NJOP adjustment, and the maximum increase is 250 percent,” Sudewo said.
“We straighten out, not all of them rose 250 percent. The increase above 200 percent was only around 10 to 15 percent. Even the increase was below 100 percent or even 50 percent, it was far more,” Sudewo said.
In addition, he said, Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 17 of 2025 which became the basis of this policy had been consulted with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) and the Central Java Provincial Government, then declared not violating higher rules.
“Mr. Minister of Home Affairs last night had called me and asked the Inspector General of the Ministry of Home Affairs to check this Perbup. The results of the Inspector General’s observation showed that the regulation was not in conflict with the regulations or regulations above,” he said.
Previously, the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi asked the Pati Regent, Sudewo, reviewing the increase in Land and Building Tax (PBB) up to 250 percent which now drew the protest of residents.
According to Lutfi, the United Nations increase should be adjusted to the ability of the region and should not burden the community.
“One, the principle is adjusted to the ability of the region. Then the second must not burden the community,” Lutfi said after attending the event of launching the land boundary movement, in Purworejo on Thursday.
