, Thursday (7/8).He asked reporters out of the room.
“Reporters leave the room after I greeted one by one invited guests,” Prabowo said in his speech.
After giving a speech, Prabowo returned to meet reporters who were waiting outside the room.The General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party gave a reason for his remarks to be closed to the journalists present.
“To be more free,” he said.
He said in the remarks there were many things he said, including related to science and technology.
“Don’t be twisted, don’t be politicized, we are talking, we are talking about knowledge, technology science,” he said.
Previously, thousands of researchers in Indonesia along with the Prabowo cabinet minister were present at the 2025 KSTI. The event took place for the next three days or until Saturday (9/8).
The ministers who attended the convention included the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Investment and Downstream Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Minister Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy.
Also present were the recipients of Nobel Physics Nobel Konstantin Novoselov and Brian Schmidt.
“Inviting 350 Chancellors from State and Private Universities in Indonesia. We also invite the best thousand researchers in Indonesia,” said Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto.
Brian said that with this convention the existence of science and technology in Indonesia is expected to realize economic growth and equity.In addition, he encouraged the extractive economy to be changed by managing downstreaming.
