Edward Omane Boamah and the Minister of the Environment Ghana Ibrahim Murtala Muhammmed was reported dead in
Helicopter accident
, on Wednesday (6/8).
A few hours earlier, military forces reported a helicopter carrying three crew members and five passengers disappeared from Radar.

Broadcast cellular telephone recordings from the accident site that showed the debris of aircraft that were still smoky in the forest area the previous day.
Everyone in the helicopter was reportedly killed in the accident.While Media Ghana reported that the helicopter was on his way to an event about illegal mining.

The Armed Forces Ghana said the investigation had begun to determine the cause of the fall of the Z9 helicopter in the Ashanti region.
Boamah led the Ghana Ministry of Defense Situation at the north border in Burkina Faso increasingly turbulent.
Boamah was the Minister of Communication during the MAHAMA government for the 2012-2017 period.He also served as Deputy Minister of Environment.
“MAHAMA is emotionally slumped,” said Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education Ghana, to reporters outside the Presidential Building after the news of the accident spread.
Previously the Ghana military reported an Air Force helicopter disappeared from Radar after taking off from ACCRA right after 09.00 local time on Wednesday.The helicopter was heading to the city of Obuasi.
The statement stated that there were three crew members and five passengers in it, without specifically mentioning at that time that the ministers were among them.
Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Deputy Coordinator of National Security Ghana and former Minister of Agriculture and Samuel Sarpong, Deputy Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Party led by Mahama, including among the death toll.
Muhammmed, the Minister of Environment, led the illegal gold mining eradication operation that had damaged agricultural land and contaminated water.
