Canceling many flights impact comprehensive system disorders on Wednesday (6/8) evening local time, to make thousands of passengers stranded and experienced delays.
The flight called “mainline”, which is the route between the main hubs in the United States, had to be stopped for more than an hour before the technician team managed to overcome the problem.
“We are working with customers to ensure they can arrive at the destination after technological disturbances on Wednesday night,” United Airlines said in a statement as quoted

“The underlying technology problem has been resolved, and although we estimate there will be further delays, our team is trying to restore normal operations.”
Meanwhile, the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA), which regulates flights in the US, issued an order to stop temporarily departure at a number of large airports.
According to the FAA website, the order only applies to United Airlines and affects the airports in Denver, Newark, Houston, and Chicago.
This disorder is the latest incident that befell the US aviation sector.
Last month, Alaska Airlines experienced information technology problems that made all her fleet stuck on land for several hours.
Previously, the air traffic control system at the Newark area of the Newark airport had also experienced a disruption more than once this year, which eroded passenger confidence in the aviation system.
In January, a collision in the air near the Reagan National Airport, Washington, involving passenger aircraft and military helicopters killed dozens of people.
